Applying for jobs can be just as challenging as writing a dissertation and conducting research projects, and often raises difficult questions: How can you stay focused on your dissertation while maintaining your personal wellbeing when you’re applying for jobs? How can you deal with the uncertainty about job prospects, the stresses of the interview process, and the personal consequences of relocating across the country? How to find the support you need from your academic advisers and peers if you’re looking for non-academic careers? Student counselors Linda Tartof and Douglas Culbert hear such questions nearly every day, and will offer their insights during an informal Q&A with students.
